The Lost Bucks
It’s not often we get a call to reprise a famous movie poster for a family portrait and this winter we jumped at the chance. After an exploratory call in November, Nathan and husband Gus decided to surprise the family with a portrait for the ages, entitled ‘The Lost Bucks’. Or should we say…the ultimate Christmas gift. This couple got creative and made gift boxes filled with vampire inspired gummies in Chinese takeout boxes.
I pledged to rewatch The Lost Boys and did so the night before the session. Texting during the movie Nathan gave me insight into who each family member would become in the casting of this portrait. With a nod and a wink to the campy 90’s film The Lost Boys, we crafted a multi-generational family portrait with an updated vibe and a sprinkle of vampire filter dust on top.
This is how memories are made and bonds reinforced. Our welcome mat is always open to creativity ideas and we suspect that families hunkering down together will really let their ideas flow. Although a bit late in our blog post queue, it does seem oddly appropriate in the midst of a pandemic. #govampires #staysafemortals
